Community Risk Reduction (CRR)

What is Community Risk Reduction?

Tyger River Fire-Rescue’s Community Risk Reduction (CRR) Program is focused on enhancing public safety through prevention, education, and proactive risk management. By identifying potential hazards and addressing them before emergencies occur, we work to reduce risks and strengthen the safety and resilience of our community.

Our CRR initiatives include:

  • Fire Prevention Education – Providing residents, schools, and businesses with important fire safety information and prevention strategies.
  • Safety Inspections – Conducting inspections to help ensure buildings and properties meet established fire and life safety standards.
  • Code Enforcement – Enforcing applicable fire codes and regulations to promote a safer environment for our community.
  • Incident Analysis – Evaluating past incidents and emergency trends to identify high-risk areas and implement effective prevention measures.

Through these efforts, our department is committed to reducing emergencies, minimizing the impact of disasters, and promoting a safer community for everyone we serve.
